Total Guitar - Unspoken Goodbye

Suitcases resting
By the heavy door
Footsteps echoing
Across the wooden floor
No words were spoken
As you turned away
Just silence left to rule
The empty day
A lingering shadow where you used to stand
Slipping right out
Of my open hand
